The goal of the activity was to make something that is not the typical Welcome Week activity, and to show the Erasmus students that in Plovdiv they will have the opportunity to do different activities and that the city has much more to offer than what they indicialy may expect.
We had a private bachata lessons in local dancing studio. Eramus students receive a beginners bachata lesson.
We started stretching, and after the Erasmus students were introduced into the basic movements and history of bachata. At the beginning the Erasmus students were dancing individually. On the second part they started to dance on couples. And between the two parts the instructors even made a demonstration of their bachata skills, and the students replied to that with applauses.
The lessons took a bit more than an hour.
After the bachata class was over, we went to a local club, that was approximately 5 min. away by walk, were they were having a bachata party. The instructors from the academy joined the party and offered some private dancing lessons to the Erasmus students.
