The goal of the activity was to showcase cultural heritage of Rome, telling international students history and fun facts about the monuments and walking through the typical narrow streets and parks along the river Tiber with the light of the sunset.
We gathered the international students in front of the Church of St. Bartholomew on Tiber Island, the island in the middle of the Tiber River in the centre of Rome. From there, we told them about the history of the island and some fun facts. Then, we went to the area of the Foro Boario, told the story of the Bocca della Verità , and continued to the Circus Maximus. We then passed through the Rose Garden of Rome, where we were able to admire the roses in bloom. Finally, we visited the Basilica of St. Sabina and from the terrace of the Orange Garden we were able to admire a beautiful sunset, and then we headed to the famous keyhole from which we could see the dome of St Peter's.
At the end of the tour, we organized an aperitif with Erasmus students in the typical Trastevere district and where spent some time together.
