To raise awareness of LGBTQ+ history and current rights especially in Finland. To raise awareness about Arctic Pride.
Arctic Pride week was held in Rovaniemi from 15th of March until 21st of March. Unfortunately this year there were Covid-19 restrictions so there were no face-to-face events or a parade. ESN Lapland still wanted to contribute to Arctic Pride week so we decided to do it through Instagram. We had some 'information packages' where we gave facts regarding LGBTQ+ rights in Finland. We gave information about current situations as well as historical events. We also made a couple of quizzes to the Instagram stories. The quizzes had similar themes as the 'information packages.' The quiz was also about Arctic Pride, which is still quite a new event.
