Goal of the Activity
To educate international students about the reality about Italian organized crime, thus telling apart facts from stereotypes.
Description
International students are invited to attend an evening of workshops and Q&A about the major Italian criminal organizations held by the volunteers of Libera, a nationwide organization involved in fighting mafia-type organizations. A conference explaining how mafias operate and what Libera does to fight them opens the event. Then, participants split into discussion groups where they can reflect on the problem and share what they know, while being able to ask the volunteers any questions they may have. Finally, refreshments were served in an informal aperitivo, to further stimulate discussion and feedback.
