Goal of the Activity

Welcoming newcomers to Aarhus by connecting them with the city’s culture and community through guided tours and shared experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and intercultural understanding.

Description

Aarhus Culture Day is an annual celebration of the city’s vibrant cultural scene, open to everyone, especially newcomers. Held this year on the 5th of October, it was a fantastic way to explore Aarhus with new friends, beginning with a welcome coffee and introduction at the local library, Dokk1. From there, participants joined small groups and set off to discover some of Aarhus’ cultural gems. Where could they go? Perhaps to ARoS, Moesgaard Museum, or even a hidden historical site – the destinations were kept a surprise! The event was the perfect chance to get to know Aarhus while socialising in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
