The goal of this activity was to host the 27th National Assembly for the first time in Volos. All the section's volunteers around Greece gathered to the conference for our annually elections but also to discuss important stuffs such as the current situation of ESN Greece and the upcoming steps.
ESN UTH is the most recent association that has been created in Greece, based in Thessaly and includes 5 cities in which it is responsible for. The section was created a year before the pandemic started, with the result that when covid appeared it significantly affected our human resources. However, the motivation and energy of the section's volunteers did not stop. Although we did not have the necessary human resources or the appropriate partners to create such a big event, the sections from ESN Thessaloniki offered their help. The National Assembly was supposed to take place in Volos. Volos, situated 205 miles north of Athens and 137 miles south of Thessaloniki, is one of Greece's most popular cities, combining a prominent port, a lively seafront, ancient archeological sites, and access to the Pelion Mountain range, the home of the mythical centaur. The reason that we decided to keep this cooperation and try to implement the event was mostly because of the experienced members that the OC had. Over time, the section created many partnerships, as also a huge visibility to the University of Thessaly.
During our National Assembly all the volunteers of our Organisation had active participation on the sessions related to the Erasmus+ Programme. Furthermore, we have discussed the upcoming steps of ESN Greece, reviewed the previous year and set new goals.
