Goal of the Activity
To provide international students the opportunity to volunteer in a local elderly care home, offering social support and helping combat loneliness among the elderly while fostering a culture of empathy and community involvement.
Description
On February 25th, ESN Coimbra invited international students to participate in Social Angels, a volunteering initiative at Casa dos Pobres de Coimbra, an institution that supports elderly individuals in vulnerable situations.
Volunteers were divided into two shifts (9:30–11:30 and 15:00–17:30) and spent time interacting with the elderly, supporting their daily routines, and providing companionship.
