Hike in Zermat to Gornergrat!
Get ready for an incredible day as ESN Lausanne takes you to Zermatt and the breathtaking Gornergrat! Experience the magic of the Swiss Alps with stunning panoramic views of the Matterhorn, one of the most iconic mountains in the world.
Our journey starts with a scenic train ride to Zermatt, followed by an ascent to Gornergrat, where you’ll be surrounded by 360° views of snow-covered peaks and glaciers. Next, we'll take a short train down to Rotenboden, and embark on a nice walk to Riffelberg, offering spectacular views of the Matterhorn—weather permitting!
After descending back to Zermatt, we’ll explore the charming mountain village before heading back to Lausanne.
Make sure to dress warmly and take good hiking shoes—there will be snow, and temperatures can drop quite a bit. Don't forget your water bottle, your lunch, and some snacks, as it will be a long day!
