The purpose of this activity is to provide Spanish students with opportunities to interact with international students while sharing their own culture and experiences. They meet, talk, and discuss current topics in order to know the differences between countries.
The activity is divided in three parts:
- Firstly the international students record themselves and present their countries to the local students.
- Secondly the teacher of the school projects the video and they talk about it and write questions for the student.
- Finally, the international student records another video answering their questions.
We have done it with two different international students from Ireland and Italy-Eritrea. The children sent us a lot of questions and the students were happy to answer them. The teachers also were thrilled about the activity and how those children could learn about their countries without going out of the classroom.
