The winter concert is a collaborative music event where amateur student musicians meet with each other and prepare a set list for the concert day. We start from scratch by organizing a kick-off meeting and inviting the musicians. In this meeting, we tell them what is the event about. Then, we start doing our jam sessions. During these sessions, musicians determine the songs they want to play, and they collaborate with each other to form temporary bands for these songs. Later, they try their best to improve these songs. We spend almost 2 months to create a set list of at least 20 songs. During this period, they decide if they want to cancel some songs and add new ones because there might be easier songs to play, or they don't like the sound. At the end of the jam sessions period, we do an audition period, which consists of choosing the actual concert songs among the previously practised songs. The goal is to give everyone equal chance to perform, which means that we choose the songs such that we will see different faces on the stage. At the end, on the concert day, we arrive at the concert hall way before than our guests and do rehearsals. Finally, we perform our songs in the presence of our audience.
