The main goal of this activity was understand why is important to preserve the habitat and best practices to respect the local fauna and flora off this animals.
In the morning we visited the archeological area (Necropolis) of Anghelu Ruju, one of the most important archaeological sites in Sardinia because it has one of the largest and oldest artificial cave complexes, used by different cultures from about 4200 to 1800 b.C.
For the lunch the idea is that everyone brought something typical from their own country or city to share with all the participants
The most important part of the excursion was carried out during the afternoon.
We had the opportunity to visit the centre for the recovery of wild animals- C.A.R.F.S. di BONASSAI, and had contact with Sardinian wildlife.
The animals hospitalized belong mainly to the Sardinian avifauna. The Center is equipped with facilities for the hospitalization of injured animals with shelters dedicated to individual species. Each year more than sixty different species of wild animals are delivered, with an annual average of five hundred shelters.
A guide explained to us their wildlife healthcare activity, why is it important to preserve the habitat of these animals and he will also share with us some best practices to enjoy the trip respecting the local fauna and flora.
