The city tour should make the students who freshly arrived feel welcome and give a first orientation of university buildings and the inner city. They also should get the chance to get to know each other and embrace the local culture and cuisine.
A volunteer leads the group through the city and uses their local knowledge to showcase the important facilities and local highlights. During walking through the city the students have the possibility to get to know each other. Afterwards, all who want are welcome to join in to a lunch.
Outcomes
This events welcomes new students and gives them orientation and connections in the new city. It also gives them first contacts either for asking for advise or getting to know the other internationals in the city. It also informs them about upcoming events during Welcome Weeks and about our ways of communication.
