Sremski Karlovci is a town on the other side of the Danube, just 8 km away from Novi Sad. It's a picturesque town, highly significant as it used to seat the Serbian Orthodox Church (the Patriarchate of Karlovci) and Karlovci Grammar School, Serbia's first institution for higher education. If the historical relevance doesn't convince you, the fact that some of the most delicious wines are produced in Sremski Karlovci surely will!
We will be diving deeper into the history of this important town with a local guide. Once done with the tour, there will be an optional wine tasting in one of the most well-established wine cellars.
The wine tasting includes 4 home-made wines: white Sila, Rose, red Probus, and Bermet. Sila and Bermet are specialty wines, only made in the Fruška gora region.
