The activity was organised to get the new incoming Erasmus students acquainted with Greek culture, to encourage them to mingle and work together, to meet local students, and try some Greek food.
The event had many different subsections that took place one after the other, with a free snacks being offered for the duration of it. The first part included a game where students were given a sticky note with a European city's name on it and asked to walk around the hall and mingle, in order to find four other people with the same city. Once the group found each other, they would stick their papers on a map of Europe that was on the wall. A folk dance student organisation that was invited also performed some traditional Greek dances for everyone and then urged the Erasmus students to join them. It was a multi-sensory immersive experience for the international students, so that they could get to know each other and Thessaloniki.
