The goal of the activity was to present to the Erasmus students the local cultural heritage, the Cotroceni Palace being the residency of the president of Romania and a place full of history.

Then this is the place for you! The Cotroceni Palace is located in an area with a history of over three hundred years and serves now as the headquarter of The Presidential Administration.
The palace also houses the National Cotroceni Museum.HistoryThe Cotroceni Monastery (1679–1682)In 1679, a monastery was built by Şerban Cantacuzino on Cotroceni Hill in the first year of his rule on the place of an old wooden hermitage.
The royal palace (1883–1895)Cotroceni Hill was also the place of residence of many of Romania's rulers for a time until 1883, when King Carol I of Romania received the residences and ordered them demolished with plans to build a much larger edifice in their stead which would serve to house the future heirs to his throne.
