Goal of the Activity

Once we got there we were welcomed by a presentation made by the volunteers of the center, which allowed us to learn about the turtles’ life cycles and the dangers they have to face in the sea.

Description

The event took place on Saturday, June 3rd 2023 at the “Centro Recupero Tartarughe Marine” located in Pescara.

We met with our 10 participants at the station, where we took the bus number 5 to reach our final destination.

The volunteers told us about the most common reasons turtles end up there, and then proceeded to walk us around the tubs where they kept the turtles in need. They gave us the backstory behind each one of their injuries and answered all our questions about them.

The event was very well appreciated, as the participants were really curious and passionate about these topics. The volunteers at the center were available and prepared too, which made the experience enjoyable and valuable.
