UN Arabic Language Day with ESN UŁ

As a section with many international students, among which many speak some variation of Arabic, we organized a workshop for other students to celebrate UN Arabic Language Day on the 18th of December. During the meeting the students had the opportunity to get to know more about Arabic dialects. Well-prepared presention enabled them to learn about Arabic-speaking countries, as well as try their best with pronouncing the basic formulas from Arabic. What is more, the event was extremely attractive for Arabic students, as they could meet with other people from the similar culture, who go through the same issues in the foreign country; therefore, they could offer and receive help from someone, who knows exactly what they are going through. The event was an amazing opportunity for both international and local students to broaden their horizons, get rid of their prejudice and understand people from this unique, beautiful culture.
