This event aimed to introduce Erasmus students to Turkish breakfast culture and promote cultural integration. It provided students with the opportunity to experience traditional Turkish breakfast and explore local flavors. The goal was to encourage cultural exchange and foster friendships among students.
This event was organized to introduce Erasmus students to Turkish breakfast culture and strengthen intercultural exchange. It took place at The Hunger restaurant around 10:00 AM. Participants had the opportunity to try classic Turkish breakfast items such as olives, cheese, jams, eggs, tomatoes, and cucumbers, as well as delicious treats like sucuk and börek. The traditional fried dough, pişi, was especially loved by the students.
Attendees noted that the vegetables served were fresh and organic. Many commented that Turkish breakfast is much richer compared to the simpler breakfasts they have in their home countries. Some participants felt that having so many options at once was overwhelming. The inclusion of French fries in the breakfast also sparked curiosity.
After the meal, Turkish coffee was served, along with unlimited tea, which was generally well-received. This experience not only allowed students to discover new flavors but also encouraged cultural sharing and interaction among them.
