Goal of the Activity

The aim of this trip was to show to the international students one of the most famous cities of northern Italy, famous worldwide for the Shakespearean tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”, making them appreciate the history and the wonderful monuments of the city.

Description

We departed from Trento main station at 10.30 and we arrived in Verona at 10.51. After arriving in Verona we started our tour through the Arena, where we took some photos with the group and then headed towards Juliet's House and the Lion's Gate. After we stopped to eat at a Piadineria and then we headed towards Castel San Pietro and then descended towards the center towards Ponte Pietra, Arche Scagliere, Piazza dei Signori, Torre dei Lamberti and finally Piazza Erbe. At each stage and along the way, the organizers took turns giving a small description of the place. The Erasmus students seemed very interested in what they were told and sometimes they even intervened by asking questions. The Erasmus students had some free time before heading to the last stages, Castel San Pietro and Piazza Erbe. At the end of the tour in front of Castelvecchio we headed towards the station to take the return train.
