Organizing a trip to Venice can offer a multitude of compelling reasons, catering to various interests and preferences. Venice's breathtaking beauty, with its intricate canal system, stunning architecture, and picturesque bridges, is a major draw for travelers. The city's unique layout and historic landmarks, such as St. Mark's Basilica and the Grand Canal, make it a one-of-a-kind destination. Exploring its museums, art galleries, and historic sites allowed the Erasmus students to immerse themselves in this cultural heritage.
Getting lost in Venice's labyrinthine streets, crossing its picturesque bridges, and simply soaking up the city's atmosphere can be a primary goal for many visitors. We wanted to show our Erasmus students one of the most incredible cities in the North of Italy and explore it together with them was the occasion to live it to the fullest.
We left Trento on Saturday early in the morning and took the train. After a city tour with ESN Venezia we experienced the so known "bacaro tour", a tour among the many typical osterie of the city where we tried the "cicchetti" a typical venetian dish. On Sunday we visited Burano and Murano islands and witnessed a slassmaking demonstration, followed by a cruise of the lagoon by boat. Then we came back to Trento in the evening.
