Join us for a relaxed and fun day of sightseeing, strolling through artistic neighborhoods, and enjoying the festive Christmas atmosphere with international friends.
07:30 – Meeting in Szeged 📍 Etelka sor 3. – in front of Tiszavirág Swimming Hall
• You can get there by taking trolleybus 19 or 9. These both stop at Széchenyi tér, but if it’s more comfortable trolleybus 19 stops at Mars tér too. Get off at the Etelka sor stop.
• BE ON TIME!
• Make sure we registered your name before getting on the bus – find Enikő and Anett when you get to the meeting point and let them know your name
08:00 – Departure from Szeged
• Short stop in Arad - optional breakfast time (this stop is not 100% sure yet, we’ll let you know on the bus)
• Arrival in Timișoara, with a possible meet-up with ESN Timișoara
• Visit to the Art Museum of Timișoara
The available exhibitions of the museum:
o Corneliu Baba exhibition (part of the permanent collection)
o Art from the Banat region and Romanian Modern Art Gallery (part of the permanent collection)
o European Art Gallery (part of the permanent collection)
o Utopia and Research. The experimental groups 111 and Sigma (1966-1981) (temporary exhibition)
o Ethos of an Era (temporary exhibition)
o There is an extra exhibition called “Frality of Eternal. From Pompei to the Grand Tour and beyond”, but the fee of the trip DOESN’T include this one. If you are interested you will have to pay for an additional ticket.
• Lunch at Iulius Town Mall (there are various options - e.g. Pasta Io, Fabrika, everyone can grab lunch at their own cost)
• Walk in Ilius Gardens
• City tour, including a possible walk through the Botanical Garden
• Christmas Market exploration
• Chance to buy cute Christmas gifts, enjoy mulled wine, and taste traditional Romanian food
• Optional ride with the cute Christmas themed city-tour train
• Recommended spots by locals: Jack's Bistro, Miorita, Bulevard
