Show an important example of architectural and cultural history for the region, giving also the chance to talk about the period in history when the Kingdom of Hannover and the United Kingdom where under the same Monarch.
Description
Marienburg Castle, residence of the Welf family, is one of Europe's oldest royal houses! The castle was built as a present by King George V of Hanover to his wife, Queen Marie (hence the naming). Today, the neo-Gothic monument is in private property of HRH Prince Ernst August of Hanover.
