Show international students a bit more of our Portuguese culture;
Promote national visits to other Portuguese cities, namely Lisbon and Sintra
Promote intercultural dialogue.
Capital of Portugal since 1256, and once considered the center of the world, Lisbon is now a cosmopolitan and multicultural city with amazing sights and unique streets. On this 3 day trip, we took our international students to visit some of the most famous landmarks such as Castelo de S. Jorge, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Torre de Belém and Lx Factory. They also had a city tour with our fellow friends, ESN Lisbon.
Sintra is a charming town near Lisbon where the stunning nature and the beautiful historical building and monuments mix. On this trip, we took our International students to visit some of those places. They had the opportunity to spend some time in a palace like the ones they see in movies, Palácio da Pena, and fall in love with the most romantic gardens in Quinta da Regaleira, classified as world heritage by UNESCO.
