The goal of this trip was to show our exchange students Croatian natural and cultural heritage.
Our meeting point for this exciting journey was at Jelačićev trg at 7:30 am. From there we took a beautiful scenic route soaking in the stunning views of the Croatian coast passing through beautiful cities such as Opatija, Lovran, Moščenička draga, Plomin and more.
We made our first stop in the charming medieval city of Labin. As a short stop on our way, we took a walk around the city where we stopped for coffee. Afterwards, we continued our journey towards one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia, called Rovinj.
By that point we got hungry, so we stopped in one of Croatian agrotourism's. Our menu contained a warm dish called Maneštra, which is a traditional Istrian dish. Following it, the main dish was provided in meat and vegetarian option. Finally another traditional dish, a sweet dessert called Fritule.
Our final stop was a small city settled on the steep hill called Motovun.
After enjoying this extraordinary day in our beautiful Istrian cities, we headed back to Rijeka and our arrival was around 21:00.
