PLAY DESCRIPTION:

We’re watching The Six Sisters, an intriguing, multi-award winning historical-political play directed by Ivan Verunica and produced by TRYtheatre.

Using Chekhov's Three Sisters as a rough starting point, this play looks at the fall of communism, the breakup of Yugoslavia and the transition that followed through the family relationship of six sister, each of whom represents a former socialist republic.

The sisters strive for new horizons, a different future and independence. Wanting to move away from the family as soon as possible, the sisters will meet various foreign suitors and enter into new legal and market relations. Each of them will decide (or be forced to decide) with which foreign man she wants to continue her life with. But of course, every decision has a price - and it comes with unforeseen consequences.

The play is in English with Croatian subtitles! ENTRY IS FREE!
