  • Creating a Comfortable Social Space: Provide a relaxed and informal environment where students can socialize, make new friends, and feel more comfortable in their new setting, easing feelings of homesickness or isolation.
  • Encouraging Language Practice: Offer a space for students to practice and improve their language skills in a low-pressure environment, whether through conversations in the host country's language or in a mix of languages.
  • Building Community: Strengthen the sense of community among Erasmus students by providing a regular gathering where they can connect with others, share experiences, and support one another throughout their time abroad.
  • Facilitating Personal and Academic Conversations: Allow students to discuss both personal and academic challenges, offering support and advice in a casual, peer-driven setting.
  • Promoting Well-Being and Relaxation: Provide an opportunity for students to take a break from their studies and enjoy some downtime, helping them relax, recharge, and maintain their well-being during their Erasmus journey.
  • Encouraging Open Dialogue: Create a space where students can discuss a variety of topics in an open, inclusive, and respectful way, helping to break down barriers and stimulate thoughtful conversations.
Description

The Tea and Talk event is a relaxed, informal gathering designed to bring Erasmus students together over a cup of tea (or coffee) to engage in open, friendly conversations. This event offers a cozy environment where students can share their experiences, discuss cultural differences, and exchange ideas, all while enjoying a selection of teas, snacks, and treats from various cultures.

Whether discussing life abroad, academic challenges, or personal interests, Tea and Talk encourages meaningful connections and fosters a sense of community among students from diverse backgrounds. It provides a safe space for students to practice language skills, learn from one another, and build new friendships in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.

This event is ideal for those who want to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy engaging conversations in a supportive and relaxed setting. It’s an opportunity to share stories, exchange cultural insights, and feel more connected to the Erasmus experience.
