Goal of the Activity

The goal of our events is to help students get to know the city and it's surroundings.

Also we want to bring them together to find new friends and get to know other cultures, for this we organize different events like parties, trips, sports events and many more.

Description

We published the event with this description:

The ODEON Youth Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2006 and is a close partner of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. In the orchestra, young musicians between the ages of 15 and 25 discover the diverse and exciting world of classical music at a high artistic level. The orchestra has won several prices. Concert tours have already taken the young orchestra to Hungary, Serbia, Italy and Budapest, as well as to Chile in 2008 and 2012 and to China in 2018.

LAS AMERICAS - A journey to the musical heart of the continent

The ODEON Youth Symphony Orchestra Munich under the direction of its Chilean conductor, Julio Doggenweiler Fernández, takes you overseas and travels with you musically through the entire continent: and wherever the orchestra stops, we have time for a little dance, a visit to the ballet and absorb the soul of the country. In Argentina, we stay for a whole year and experience all four seasons; Piazolla wrote these "Estaciones" for his city: Buenos Aires. We experience the round dance of summer, autumn, winter and spring in the home of the tango by probably the most famous composer of this city.

And even when we are in the north of the American continent - the Caribbean remains close to our hearts. In Bernstein's "Symphonic Dances", the arc stretches all the way to New York. There is dancing here, too, and the fate of Tony and Maria takes its tragic course. These two are joined by another tragic pair of lovers: Porgy and Bess. George Gershwin set his American Folk Opera in the southern states of the USA, so another part of the great American continent joins the round dance.

Don't we all have a little piece of America in our hearts that we want to make blossom?
