The aim of the activity was to raise awareness among the Erasmus on the issue of fast fashion, trying to make them understand how recycling and giving can lead to a reduction in the environmental impact and exploitation of workers in those countries where the clothes we find in Italian shops are produced.
The day started with volunteers from the various participating associations (including ESN) preparing the place to accommodate people and objects. Afterwards, clothes were collected from both associations and individuals and placed on tables. Once the collection phase was over, the swap party was officially kicked off by welcoming people who started looking for something interesting and took it away with them. In the meantime, some films were shown and explained about fast fashion and its impact on the planet and the working conditions of the people involved. The event ended with a small musical performance and an aperitif organised by the host club.
