The goal of our Swap Party was to encourage Erasmus, international students, and the local community to make sustainable clothing choices by bringing in clothes they no longer use and exchanging them with others. This simple yet impactful activity demonstrated how we can make a big impact with small actions. Participants embraced a more conscious approach to fashion by swapping instead of shopping.
The Swap Party took place at the Cave Club in collaboration with 2hands Macerata, STED, Non ci Piove, CAOS, and Plastic Park, as part of the SoGlobe project promoted by Regione Marche. During the event, students, citizens, and Erasmus/international students exchanged clothes, accessories, and books, promoting a culture of reuse and sustainability. Participants also had the chance to purchase items at an affordable price. A room was dedicated to videos on the climate crisis and the textile industry's environmental impact, in the same room 2hands Macerata showed and gifted his gadgets crafted from recycled plastic. In conclusion this event beautifully combined community action with education, demonstrating how simple, conscious choices can positively impact the planet.
