The aim of the event was to promote scientific research and the dissemination of scientific culture while fostering connections between the international student community and the local population. It served as a platform to highlight the University of L’Aquila’s international collaborations, encourage intercultural dialogue, and engage participants of all ages through educational and interactive activities.
The International Relations Office of the University of L’Aquila invited us to participate in its stand, organized as part of the Street Science event, an initiative aimed at promoting scientific research and the dissemination of scientific culture within the community. The stand served as a meeting point for people of all ages, with a particularly strong participation from elementary, middle, and high school students. The event also featured the active involvement of our international students, who acted as a bridge between diverse cultures.
During the event, special emphasis was placed on promoting the EUlist alliance, a significant European project designed to strengthen collaboration among universities. Our ESN L’Aquila group contributed to the day’s liveliness by organizing engaging activities, including prize-winning quizzes about flags and world trivia.
The initiative provided a unique opportunity to connect the international student community with the local population, fostering intercultural dialogue and creating an atmosphere of openness and mutual exchange. Moreover, it was an important moment to promote and showcase the international agreements established by the University of L’Aquila, highlighting its commitment to internationalization and integration. The day was a great success, generating enthusiasm among all participants.
