Goal of the Activity
- -Using the campaign and the workshops as ways to inspire people to become multipliers on the topic of racism & discrimination, thus exceeding the time-frame of the grant.
- Bringing awareness of the hate against specific groups of people, which we can do by creating a survey to distribute in the academic emails of students in the University of Ioannina, since we have the support of the International Relations Office.
- -Using social media platforms to distribute the content of the interviews we will conduct during the 30th National Assembly of ESN Greece will offer visibility that isn’t bound by time or location, therefore reaching even more people.
- During the sessions, there will be interaction and peer to peer engagement. After the sessions, the ESNers from the different sections of ESN Greece will go back to their sections and they will have a report on what happened during the NA. That way, they will be part of the multiplying effect we are hoping to create.
- -Using the banners/posters we are planning to create for the university (with the help of our IRO) will also be part of the promotional campaign since we are going to add the QR Code for the survey there.
- Distributing the survey on the network, and after the deadline we will also create a chart on the results.
Description
We organised parallel topics on the topic, and we had trainers from the eduk8 community to facilitate them. We also had an open space discussion on personal experiences such as witnessing or receiving discriminatory behaviours. We have also sent out a survey and we are planning to release the data to the the network, in order to see the impact of discriminatory behaviours in youth.
The workshops took place as part of the 30th National Assembly of ESN Greeceand there were more than 75 students participating in the sessions.
Furthermore, we added some posters around campus regarding the topic, in order to maximise impact of the activity.
