The goal of our activity is mainly to raise awareness and educate the students on inclusive ways of expression and interaction with the communities at hand, and at the same time give them the tools to be able to create safe and inclusive environments themselves, where everyone will feel free to speak out about their own experiences. At the end of the event everyone should be in a position to identify related obstacles in their own environments, and work on solutions.
The Social Inclusion Training Event is a two-day training during which both local and international students have the opportunity to participate in different seminars, workshops and activities, all regarding social inclusion and how to apply it in education/work environments and in daily life. We would like to cover topics such as Human Rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, Inclusion of People with Disabilities, Gender Equality, as well as raise awareness over marginalised communities. Apart from educational workshops, we shall host activities like Dinner in The Dark, Labyrinth of Senses, Human Storyboard etc. that will bring the participants in a more direct contact with the topics at hand!
