Skiing on Vassfjellet

Are you a ski maniac that was born with skis under your feet? Or maybe you just never had the opportunity to try it out yourself? Well, then this is your chance to go alpine skiing with us! ⛷️

This event will take place at Vassfjellet Ski Resort on Tuesday, February 6th, so purchase your ticket before that. We will meet in front of Hovedbygget, Gløshaugen at 8:30 on Tuesday. The buses will depart from Gløshaugen at 09:00. The return bus from Vassfjellet leaves at 16:00, so please aim to gather by 15:15-15:30 as returning rented skis and equipment may take some time. The drive to Vassfjellet takes about 30 minutes.
All the tickets include bus transport to Vassfjellet and back to Trondheim, as well as a ski card. There is also the option to buy a ticket with ski equipment rental. The rental package includes skis, boots, sticks, and a helmet. Ski goggles are not included. Please note that if you choose the tickets with ski rental, we need to collect information about you such as your height and weight, so they can have the skis ready for us when we arrive. Your measurements ensure the safety of your ski rental equipment because it is crucial for enabling the correct release of skis in case of a fall, thereby minimizing the risk of injury.

If you don't rent equipment, you will need to bring your own skiing helmet and skis yourself! You can also borrow ski equipment for free at NTNUI Bumerang in Moholt. Please note that you'll need alpine skis, NOT cross-country skis (those are for the woods).

Remember to bring warm and suitable clothes that cover the whole body (it will be colder than you think when skiing at full speed downhill)! We recommend multiple layers and wool linings. 

It will also be possible to have a meal or a refreshing drink at the place after having spent a long time rushing down the hills 😎
