The goal of the Sitges day trip is to provide international students with a relaxing and culturally enriching experience outside Barcelona, allowing them to explore one of Catalonia’s most picturesque coastal towns. By visiting Sitges, participants can enjoy the scenic Mediterranean views, discover local art and history. Known as one of Europe’s most LGBTQ+ friendly destinations, Sitges offers a welcoming and open environment where students can experience its progressive spirit and learn about its role in LGBTQ+ culture in Spain.
During the day, students explore Sitges' charming streets, known for their colorful mix of Modernist and Mediterranean architecture, and visit spaces that embrace its LGBTQ+ heritage. Free time allows participants to explore the beachside, savor local food, and experience the lively, inclusive atmosphere that Sitges is famous for.
