Our goal is to improve communication skills with hearing-impaired individuals and raise awareness on this issue, and to create a more inclusive environment within the community by gaining the skills to communicate more effectively and sensitively with them.
Participants will create a more inclusive atmosphere within the community by learning sign language. At the same time, we aim to help them understand the cultural richness of sign language and support this diversity. This activity also aims to develop empathy. Understanding the difficulties in the daily lives of hearing-impaired individuals can increase participants' feelings of empathy. In addition to strengthening communication skills in general, we encourage solidarity and understanding within the community. Participants will strengthen community ties by learning sign language together. This event will contribute to our student community creating a more unified, culturally sensitive and supportive environment. By coming together and learning, we aim to embrace differences and become a stronger community.
