To provide an immersive cultural experience by introducing international students to the traditional Belgian student singing festivity known as a Cantus. By overlaying a popular culture theme onto this historical framework, the event aims to lower entry barriers and encourage creative participation through costuming. The project focuses on fostering spirited social interaction and community bonding within a structured environment. Furthermore, by strictly regulating device usage and managing beverage consumption, the initiative seeks to prioritise authentic face-to-face connection and adherence to established guild traditions.

Dress up as your favorite character — Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, Gingy, or any other fairy-tale misfit — and get ready for a night full of singing, drinking, and swampy chaos! 💃🪩🍻
What’s a Cantus? It’s a traditional Belgian event where students drink, sing, and follow the rules of the Cantors. This time, we’re doing it the Shrek way — loud, funny, and full of love (and onions). 🧅💚
