This activity’s aim was to educate our volunteers so that they know how to act in case they have to help a sexual violence victim.
This workshop was organized with a local transfeminist association which has expressed their desire to remain anonymous. The activity took place at their headquarters and started from the narration of personal experience of gender/based violence, occurred and perceived around us. Then we learnt precious information about the most appropriate behavior to have in such a situation in order to help the victim. At the end, we received many important ideas regarding medical procedures that can be activate in case of sexual violence. In the following month a detailed guide has been created as an in-depth analysis of the topics covered before and with all the information for assistance in Verona. It was made available for all the volunteers. This way we hope to guarantee that every member of our association is equipped with the best knowledge and can provide basic assistance in extreme situations.
