The goal of the activity was to make jewelry for our loved ones like our family and friends or ourselves using mainly recycled pieces like soda caps, water bottle pieces and keyboard pieces. While having fun with the people who attended, we aimed to just let go off some of our stress and worries and just focus on one thing which was to make jewelry.
With our lovely members from the Project Committee and our SI Coordinator, we gathered some used water bottles, keyboard pieces, soda caps as well as some bead, threads and wires to make all kinds of jewelry from necklaces to rings. The workshop was held at our university campus, we gathered together in a classroom and each people who attended the workshop first were shown how to make the jewelry they wanted and later on worked on their own ones. Even though the process of finishing each unique creation got a little bit messy, at the end each person made something of their own while helping the environment in some kind of way even though it can be considered a very small impact, we used all of the recycled pieces we gathered and made something out of them to live with us for a long time.
