The goal of the event was to put the Erasmus students in contact with the local LGBTQIA+ activists and associations to make their stay warmer and more inclusive. To achieve the goals we invited three local associations: ArciGay Verona - an organization that promotes gender equality, tries to overcome prejudice and fights for acceptance. The second one is a community of university students, EIMÌ, that is working towards a more inclusive university and, the last one is Poliaperitivo - a polyamorous community from Verona.
Originally this was supposed to be a picnic in a park but, the weather conditions did not allow us to do so, so we called on plan B: the associative spaces of the University of Verona. We, the section, brought some chips and various snacks, and something to drink. Arcigay brought their rainbow flags to hang around and the Erasmus students arrived prepared too. In addition, we have organized three thematic activities: "who am I?" with important characters from queer history; guess the song, and an interactive quiz in which to book the answer they had to run and grab a flag located in the center. Of the three planned activities, we only did the first two because there was not enough space for the third. The students had a great time and got the possibility to socialize and get to know the associations as we intended.
