The goal of the trip to Puglia is to provide Erasmus students with an immersive journey through the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region. By exploring destinations such as the Grotte di Castellana, Alberobello, Lecce, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, and Torre dell'Orso, students have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, deepen their appreciation for Italian history and culture, and forge meaningful connections with their peers. Through visits to iconic landmarks, charming towns, and breathtaking coastal landscapes, the trip aims to foster cultural exchange, personal growth, and lasting memories among participants. Overall, the goal is to offer students a transformative experience that celebrates the diversity and beauty of Puglia while strengthening bonds within the Erasmus community.
The journey unfolded with a scenic bus ride to Puglia, where Erasmus students embarked on an enchanting exploration of the region's treasures. The itinerary led them through a captivating sequence of experiences, starting with the awe-inspiring Grotte di Castellana, where they marveled at the intricate underground formations. Next, they ventured to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Alberobello, with its iconic trulli houses evoking a sense of timeless charm. In Lecce, students immersed themselves in the Baroque splendor of the "Florence of the South," admiring its architectural masterpieces and vibrant atmosphere. The coastal towns of Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, and Torre dell'Orso offered breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, complemented by leisurely strolls along picturesque shores. As the weekend drew to a close, the group bid farewell to Puglia, reflecting on the enriching experiences and unforgettable moments shared before boarding the bus back to their starting point.
