Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to familiarise international students with Polish wedding traditions.

Description

With the semester coming to an end, we wanted to organise a huge event that the international students would remember fondly, so on Wednesday, 22 January, we decided to arrange a Polish wedding for them at the Prywatka club, which is a valued partner of our section. As is the Polish tradition, we started the party by welcoming the newlyweds, played by members of our ESN. Then, through the oczepiny (capping ceremony), we chose the second newlyweds from among the foreign students. Both couples were then welcomed with bread and salt. Later, everyone danced on the dance floor to Polish wedding hits. The last parts of the event were the chair game and the Chapelloise dance. The event turned out to be a huge success, and the attendance was about 65 people.
