Goal of the Activity

The goal of Polish Spring Traditions was to introduce international students to unique Polish customs and celebrations that mark the arrival of spring. The event aimed to promote cultural exchange, deepen understanding of local traditions, and offer participants a hands-on, memorable experience tied to Polish folklore and seasonal change.

Description

ESN UAM Poznań invited Erasmus students to celebrate the arrival of spring the Polish way! During Polish Spring Traditions, participants learned about symbolic rituals such as the drowning of Marzanna (a farewell to winter), traditional decorations like palms and pisanki (painted Easter eggs), and other customs that mark the changing season in Poland.

The event included interactive activities, DIY craft stations, and fun facts about Polish folklore, seasonal food, and celebrations. Whether making a mini Marzanna, decorating eggs, or just enjoying a spring-themed atmosphere, students got a colorful, hands-on introduction to Poland’s vibrant cultural heritage.

It was the perfect mix of tradition, creativity, and togetherness — welcoming spring with open arms and open hearts. 🌸🌞🇵🇱
