Goal of the Activity

With the opened policy dialogue between the European Parliament and youth we aimed to learn about the European Parliament structure, elections, and how youth can actively participate in European affairs.

Description

In the cooperation with Hertie School in Berlin we hosted MEP Damian Boeselager, founder and candidate of the VOLT Party, for a Policy & Pizza session discussing the upcoming EU elections and the role of youth participation.

In this Policy Dialogue session Damian Boeselager helped us understand the processes and policy making features of the European Parliament, as well as the election process, and answered questions of participants in the Q&A session. The moderator of the discussion from the Future Europe also contributed in the discussion and encouraged youngsters to take part in the upcoming EU elections.

It was a great opportunity to engage directly with policy practitioners and learn more about European Union.
