Goal of the Activity
Clean a courtyard adjacent to a school from trash and foster in high school students the concepts of environmental sustainability and respect for the environment.
Description
We have been contcted by the local section of the organisation Plasticfree to take part in this event which took place at national level in different cities throughout the whole Country. Out international students merged with the local high school students and together they spent the morning cleaning from trash (mostly plastic bags, but also other trash and even two tyres) the courtyard adjacent to the school.
Meanwhile, the organisers explained them how to reduce waste (e.g. re-using things instead of throwing them in the trash) and recycle correctly.
