The goal of the activity was to promote a sustainable alternative for outdoor experiences, by boosting the importance of reusable and durable containers, discussing the impact of human actions on the environment and getting to know the gardens of Florence.
We gathered in Villa Fabbricotti, one of the main public gardens of Florence, where we held a Pic-Nic. The goal of this first activity was to reflect on the impact of food, from the containers and the silverware to vegetarian and vegan food. The Erasmus students also shared some of their plant-based alternatives from their traditions.
After lunch we then moved to Giardino dell'Orticoltura where we got to experience a local Flower fair. It was possible for the Students to get to know the local vendors and buy plants and flowers. There were also many displays discussing the importance of nature, wildlife and the impact of biological productions.
