Goal of the Activity
The aim of the event was to raise awareness of nature conservation and waste reduction through environmental sustainability and respect for space.
Description
The event took place on Sunday 12 May and involved dozens of volunteers who, equipped with gardening gloves and telescopic tongs, set to work collecting all the rubbish and polluting objects in the contrada Lavangone, an area on the outskirts of the city of Potenza. During the morning, the participants rolled up their sleeves (literally) and cleaned up the entire area, which was submerged by various types of waste.
A tiring job, certainly, but at the same time very rewarding: it was great for the volunteers to see the area cleaned up.
