Goal of the Activity
Visit the very first museum of Milan and the Biblioteca ambrosiana
Description
The visit developed among the rich collection of paintings of the Pinacoteca. Among the artists, we could find artworks by Caravaggio, Raffaello and Leonardo Da Vinci. The museum temporarily hosts the preparatory cartons of the restored Scuola di Atene fresco.
An important section of the museum is dedicated to the Codex Atlanticus, the largest collection of Leonardo Da Vinci writing and drawings. We learnt key facts about the different phases of Da Vinci's life and the evolution of his studies and of his work.
