Goal of the Activity
Teach our Erasmus students how to Cook Panellets, a traditional dessert made in Catalonia on October 31st to celebrate La Castanyada.
Description
We rented a kitchen in Barcelona and took our Erasmus students there to make Panellets. We bought and prepared all the necessary ingredients for this traditional dessert, including almonds, pine nuts, sugar, potatoes, chocolate, and coconut. We began by explaining the cultural significance and typical preparation of Panellets in Catalonia, and then the students started creating their own.
