Goal of the Activity

The goal of the panellets cooking workshop is to introduce international students to a cherished Catalan tradition, allowing them to immerse themselves in the local culture through hands-on experience. By learning to make panellets, a traditional Catalan sweet enjoyed during the autumn season (and especially Tots Sants), the event encourages participants to connect with local food while sharing a warm, interactive experience that fosters friendships and community bonding.

Description

During the workshop, participants gathered in a kitchen setting where our volunteers guided them through each step of preparing panellets. Using ingredients like almonds, potatoes and pine nuts, they shaped and decorated the sweets with enthusiasm and creativity. The hands-on activity provided plenty of opportunities for conversation and laughter, as everyone tasted their creations.
