Discover the cultural, historical folkloristic and natural heritage of Palermo
It was a two day trip in Palermo discovering all its historical, cultural, folkloristic and natural treasures.
The first day we had lunch in " Francu U'Vastiddaru" when we ate the typical street food like Pane e panelle, crocchè palermitane and Paninu ca meusa. In the afternoon we walked around the city and visited Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria (also called "the square of shame", Piazza Bellini (also the outside part of San Cataldo and Martorana's churches ), Teatro Massimo, Cattedrale, Ballarò and Vucciria Market and Mercato del Capo.
We had dinner in Vucciria market.
The next day, after a free morning, we had lunch in Ballarò Market and after we visited the Botanical Garden of Palermo (one the biggest in Europe), then we went to Foro Italico.
The travels between Catania and Palermo were made by bus.
